This section contains a brief summary of some basic concepts about graphics, or artwork, as it is sometimes called.

First, we will describe the differences between line art and continuous tone artwork, and look at what those differences mean to the multimedia designer. Then we will describe the differences between the two different ways computers deal with graphics -- bitmapped images and vector images.

Once again, we will discuss how those differences affect multimedia design decisions.

The sub-menu at the bottom of the page will allow you to get to the various topics (remember, they may be more than one page in length), or you can click the "next page" button repeatedly to see all the pages.
